Marshall: “You have not heard the last of me”

REGINA -- Eight games wasn't enough for Greg Marshall.

One day after being fired as the Saskatchewan Roughriders' head coach, Marshall said Saturday he was disappointed he wasn't given the chance to turn around a dismal start to the season.

“I thought that if there were some bumps along the way that time would be given to fix what needed to be fixed,” he said.

Harper stirs controversy with military name change

This was up at the Washington Examiner.
Seems the lefties are a bit upset with the return to tradition.

Canadians were thrilled when Prince William and Kate traveled across the country on their first official trip as a married couple. They barely noticed when their pro-monarchy Conservative prime minister appointed Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth II's husband, an honorary admiral on his 90th birthday.

But Prime Minister Stephen Harper's decision to restore the royal name to the Canadian armed forces and other recent moves to embrace the monarchy have raised hackles in this former British colony that has largely been indifferent to the fact that the queen remains the titular head of state.

The Conservative government's decision to restore the traditional designations of the Canadian Forces; the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN), Canadian Army and Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) is a welcome move that recognizes a reality that has been long ignored by officialdom: The decades-long attempt to erase the historic designations, and unique identities, of the RCN, Canadian Army and RCAF was a failure.
